FAQ.

1. What do I need to apply?
Send an application for the character you wish to write to the relevant fandom moderator. Be sure to include the following information:
a. Your personal LJ name
b. The character you wish to apply for.
c. The fandom of that character.
d. Whether or not you have other characters and what they are.
e. Your email address.
f. A sample of your writing.

2. Okay, I've been approved, now what?
Create a LJ for the character you've been approved for and let your moderator know what the LJ name is. They will add you and send you the invite code.

3. What POV should I write my fic in?
Whatever POV you like. First, second or third, whatever you like. The reason for having a pup-named LJ is so that the other members can follow your writing in the community. Also, should you choose to role play, having the character journal lets you do that.

4. Someone left an anonymous flame. What do I do?
With anonymous comments, you can only do one thing - delete the comment. If you don't want anonymous comments, you need to go into your edit userinfo and select from the pull down menu in the question 'who can comment to your entries' Registered Users. That will stop anonymous comments.

5. Someone left spam comments. What do I do?
Delete the comment. When you hit the option of being sure you want to delete it, an option will appear that says 'do you wish to mark this comment as spam?' Select yes. The LJ Admins will take care of the rest.

6. I want to suggest a fic prompt idea. How do I do that?
You can either email Starkiller (tmcomod@anarchisma.net) or leave a comment to the post marked Prompt Ideas.

7. Should I use tags?
Only if you want to. Most people on LJ do use tags now, so feel free to do so.

8. Where do I post my fic?
You can post it anywhere you like, but you must post it to the main community.

9. Do I need to use a disclaimer?
Yes. A standarad disclaimer states the following: That you, the writer, do not own nor pretend to own the character and/or locations within the fandom you are writing in and they remain the sole property of the creator.

10. I want to write fic based on rp, which will end up being a crossover. Can I do that?
Sure. So long as it fits into the prompt, go for it.

11. I've got a journal for my pup already and I'm in other communities with this journal, can I still use it for this one?
Yes. So long as you post your fics with the right header to Artistic License, it doesn't matter what other communities the journal is a part of.

12. My character is being written as an AU, that is, not completely to canon, is this a problem?
Only if you're taking a wizard from the HP universe and plonking him into modern day Chicago as a gangster, for example. Otherwise, AU away.

13. I wrote a fic for another community that would fit really well into one of the prompts for this community. Can I use it?
Certainly.

14. Can we have more than one of the same pup? I want to write X character, but it's already been claimed, can I claim it too?
No, sorry. One version of the character in the community at a time. If you want to apply for the character if the current mun decides to drop it, then you can do so.
